Conversation with Target - Christie's Most Expensive Auction in History

This has been an UNPRECEDENTED art sale which has ever happened in history! It’s almost twice as much as the previous record - more than $1.5 Billion.

The collector, multibillionaire Paul Allen being once a Microsoft cofounder, who died several years ago, managed to create one of the most expensive art collections in history.

Five of the works at the auction cost more than $100 mln! That’s an incredible result in the world of art.

Dozens of thousands of people came to see this collection before many of these artworks disappeared in private collections.

This incredible success highlights the taste and natural gift of Mr. Allen to find the best masterpieces.

Target by artist Jasper Johns started bid 170.000 sold 330.000.

"Conversation" by David Hockney was bought at a price of more than $7.8 mln.

David Hockney in 2002, London, created the portrait of HH Sheikh Saoud bin Mohammed Al Thani (1966-2014), a famous Qatari art collector.

The story about HH Sheikh Saoud and his family members was created in series of artworks “Portrait of contemporary” by a Ukrainian artist Andrii (ABHINAVA) Chernovil.
