Andrii & Nadiia Chernovil: From Q-Targets (2014) to MuHuGo Museum of Human Goals — Academic Recognition Across Ukraine, Italy, and the USA

Some projects grow like trees. Others unfold like constellations.

The artistic system Q-Targets (IQTargets Art) was initiated in 2014 by Nadiia and Andrii Chernovil, a contemporary artist and scenographer, as a conceptual exploration of intention, direction, and human focus. Over time, this system evolved into MuHuGo — the Museum of Human Goals, an interdisciplinary platform that combines art, research, interviews, and public participation.

Since 2022, MuHuGo operates in the United States (Florida) as a developing cultural initiative dedicated to collecting, visualizing, and interpreting human aspirations through artistic language.

Academic Recognition and Institutional Context

The artistic work of Andrii Chernovil and the conceptual system IQTargets has been included in academic research related to the Odessa State Art School named after M.B. Grekov (OGHU Grekova) — one of the most significant art institutions in Eastern Europe.

The research was conducted within the framework of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze (Florence Art Institute) under the supervision of Italian art historian Prof. Carlo Falciani, focusing on the evolution of classical and contemporary art practices.

This academic work places Chernovil’s artistic system within a broader cultural lineage that connects classical European art education (Grekov School) with modern conceptual and socially engaged art practices.

United States: Public Activation and University Collaboration

Since 2022–2023, the project has entered a new phase of institutional development in the United States.

MuHuGo has been presented in an exhibition and academic context at:

The exhibition took place within the Warren Library, where the project was introduced as part of a cultural and educational dialogue.

During this event, curator Iryna Prudys conducted an interview with the library director (Warren Library, PBAU), contributing to the academic documentation and institutional framing of the project.

Geography of Development

The evolution of the project reflects a clear cultural trajectory:

  • Ukraine (Odessa) — academic foundation and classical art education

  • Middle East (Qatar, 2014–2022) — formation of the concept and international artistic practice

  • Italy (Florence) — academic interpretation and inclusion in European art discourse

  • Canada, United States (Florida) —  institutional development, public engagement, and museum structure.

Exhibitions and International Presence

The works of Andrii Chernovil and the IQTargets system have been presented internationally, including:

  • United States

  • United Kingdom (London)

  • Switzerland (Basel)

  • Italy (Florence / Venice Biennale context)

  • Qatar

  • India

  • China

  • Ukraine

In 2019, the project received recognition at the Florence Biennale, where it was awarded 5th place, further strengthening its position within the international contemporary art discourse.

This step marks the transition of MuHuGo from an artistic concept into an educational and research-based cultural platform.

Professional Practice

Alongside his independent artistic work, Andrii Chernovil works in the United States as a Production / Set Designer within large-scale media production environments, including:

Like Nastya (global YouTube platform, 100M+ audience)

This dual practice — combining fine art and large-scale visual production — reflects a contemporary model where artists operate across both museum and media ecosystems.

Museum of Human Goals (MuHuGo)

MuHuGo is not a static collection. It is a living system.

The project combines:

  • visual art (target-based compositions)

  • personal goal cards written by participants

  • interviews with artists, creators, and cultural figures

  • archival documentation

  • public and institutional exhibitions

Each participant becomes part of a growing archive of human intention — transforming the museum into a dynamic, evolving cultural organism shaped by people, time, and shared meaning.

Rather than a static collection, it functions as a living structure — shaped by people, time, and shared meaning.

All artworks, concepts, and materials are the intellectual property of the Museum of Human Goals.

All submitted goals and participatory contributions become part of the MuHuGo archive and are used within the framework of the project.
